"KYLEE ANDERSON"!

STANDISH: You play "Emmie" in Doc McStuffins. Tell us how you landed this role...
KYLEE: Ah, yes—my days as Doc McStuffins’ trusty best friend! I’ve been acting since the age of four, so I practically grew up on set surrounded by cameras and craft services. One day, my agent sent me an audition for this adorable animated show called Doc McStuffins, I stepped into the booth, gave it all the Emmie energy I had—and the rest is five years of toy-mending history. I voiced Emmie during the first few seasons, and it was truly one of those "pinch me, is this real?" kind of gigs. Fun fact: they used to call my laugh the million dollar laugh—which is fitting, because I probably spent hours giggling into that mic.
STANDISH: Tell us a little about your overall mission, Kylee...
KYLEE: At the heart of everything I do—whether it’s acting, songwriting, or running my social media marketing business—it all comes back to this: authenticity & creativity. I’m a big believer in creating from the soul. I want people to feel something when they hear my songs, watch my work, or even scroll past my content. I’ve kind of chosen the scenic route through life—the messy, magical, unpredictable creative one—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
STANDISH: How does it feel to be an inspiration in the children’s television community?
KYLEE: Honestly? Surreal in the best way. Knowing that my voice has been part of so many childhoods—teaching lessons, sparking imaginations, and hopefully soothing a few tantrums along the way—is something I hold close to my heart. To think that tiny humans across the world have fallen asleep to my voice or learned how to be kind because of Emmie… that’s something I’ll always be proud of.
STANDISH: Aside from voice acting, you're a singer—tell us more!
KYLEE: Yes! I recently jumped headfirst into music, and let me tell you—it’s been a wild, wonderful ride. My debut single Vixen is out now, and my first EP, The Doll Face Diaries, is on its way. Think of it like a sonic diary: a little heartbreak, a little femme fatale, a lot of honesty. I write every lyric myself, work closely with my producer David Arregui, and direct the creative for my music videos with my tiny-but-mighty team. It’s very DIY, very hands-on, and very me. One day, I’d love a whole crew to help bring these visions to life—but right now, it’s all passion and hustle, and I love it.
STANDISH: What's on Kylee’s playlist?
KYLEE: Oh, I’m a Sabrina Carpenter on loop while I overanalyze my texts kind of girl. I love her wit, her glam, her melodies—she gets me. Billie Eilish is forever on my list, too. Her lyricism and emotional depth are just… chef’s kiss. And being a sixth-generation Californian, you know I’ve got a soft spot for indie music. Beachy, windows-down, golden-hour road trip songs, yes plz.
STANDISH: Out of all your work, what's been your favorite thing to work on & why? Least favorite?
KYLEE: Voice acting for Doc McStuffins holds a very special place in my heart. There’s something magical about breathing life into a character with nothing but your voice. And it honestly trained me for music—learning how to play with tone, emotion, and a mic.
But a recent favorite? Playing Erica Morris in Winter Spring Summer Fall, a Paramount film with Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival (still screaming), and I got to walk a red carpet in New York for the first time ever. Literal bucket list moment.
As for least favorite? I don’t really have one. I’ve learned to find something valuable in every project. Even the weird ones. Even the “you want me to cry while wearing this?” ones.

STANDISH: What can we look forward to in the future from you?
KYLEE: So much is coming! I have three new songs dropping this summer from my EP: King of the Hill, Benny, and Green With Envy—each one is a different piece of my heart and life. I’m also on the lookout to join a tour or open for some of my favorite artists (Sabrina, if you’re reading this… hi!). Acting-wise, I’m always auditioning and hoping to dive back onto set again soon. My life is a mix of microphones, movie scripts, and manifestation boards right now.
STANDISH: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
KYLEE: Headlining a tour, for sure. Bringing my music to life onstage and making people feel like they’re part of a cinematic universe built out of heartbreak, glam, and grit. I’d also love to have more characters under my belt—maybe the lead in a romcom where I spill coffee on the love interest in the first five minutes (a girl can dream).
And maybe I’ll be married and have a little family started—but who knows! Love and life show up when they want, not on a five-year plan. 😅
STANDISH: Who are some of your mentors?
KYLEE: David Arregui, my producer, has taught me so much about being an artist in a world that tries to turn creativity into a checklist. He reminds me to stay true to what I want to make, not just what works. My mom is my superhero—she’s tough, loyal, and has never let me give up on myself, even when I was tempted to. She is how I learned resilience. And Jesus—He’s the center of my compass. Every value I carry, every choice I make, I try to ground it in love, grace, and integrity.
STANDISH: Top 3 things on your bucket list?
KYLEE: Perform in a massive stadium, lights blaring, crowd singing back every word (preferably in a glittery outfit).
Be the leading lady in a romcom. Bonus points if there’s a rain kiss.
Fall epically, unreasonably, inconveniently in love.
STANDISH: Where can fans find your work?
You can find everything I’m up to—music, acting, behind-the-scenes chaos—on my social media and website! I’m always posting updates, sneak peeks, and possibly too many selfies.

STANDISH: Anything else you'd like to include here?
Just a big thank you to anyone who’s followed my journey, listened to my songs, or watched a project I’ve been in. You’re the reason I get to do what I love. Also, drink water, chase your weird little dreams, and never underestimate the power of a pink lipstick.
