Standish913.com has been blessed to do an exclusive interview with...
"CHRISSIE WUNNA"!
Let's get into some exclusive questions...
STANDISH: So, you began your career as a Playboy model, tell us how you got into this legacy...
CHRISSIE: I had moved to LA from Yorkshire, England..I’d been there for a while, was sat at a coffee shop in West Hollywood and a photographer came up to be, gave me a card and asked me if I wanted to test shoot with him, because I’d make a great model. I didn’t know what it was for…but I’m quite adventurous, so I went on the test shoot the next day…two days later booked the job..and then found out he was a photographer for Playboy. So that’s how I wiggled and winked my way into such a legendary part of Glamour Puss history. I loved it so much I’m still Glamour model today and celebrate my own onlyfans.
STANDISH: You play "Lucy" in "Pterodactyl", how'd you land this role?
CHRISSIE: By the time I shot Pterodactyl, I’d already rattled myself up a CV of indie films. I’d done quite a lot and had worked with the producers of the film numerous times…who I love and still do. They’d seen my work many times before, so they simply offered me the role..and I accepted it straight away.
STANDISH: Your iMDb shows post production credits for "Cinderella's Curse", can you tell us more about this film and your role as the "Fairy Godmother"?
CHRISSIE: Gosh! Yes! I’ve had the most incredible time filming Cinderella’s Curse. I’m actually still filming and not yet wrapped from the film. I have one more day on set. I found out I’d got the role whilst at a party at the Cannes Film Festival from Champdog Films and what a role! Getting to play the film version of the ‘Fairy Godmother’ in such an iconic story and watch the film go viral online before we’d even started filming was both so wonderful and terrifying because I knew I had to do more than a good job. But I like to feel challenged. This is my first ‘character’ role. It’s a powerful role and our story is obviously dark, disturbing and gut wrenchingly horrific. It’s ‘next level’ horror and filled with such great talent. The ‘Fairy Godmother’ in this story is evil, manipulative and wickedly disturbed. We’ve all worked really hard and excited that it hits cinema screens globally this year.
STANDISH: You have post production credits for "Winnie The Pooh: Blood & Honey 2" playing the "Nurse", can you tell us more & how you landed this role?
CHRISSIE: What a cast and a team to be part of! People are going to be blown away by this sequel. The production level is incredible. The story is twisted. It’s terrifying and will absolutely shock audiences worldwide. I’ve worked with the producers Rhys Waterfield and Scott Jeffrey at Jagged Edge Productions on numerous films, so to be offered a role in this film that has pretty much taken over the world, after it to went viral and scored its own giant cult following is a dream come true. I had initially been offered a role in the first film. however due to scheduling I was unable to do it. Yet, everything happens for a reason and I’m so glad that you I got to be part of ‘Blood & Honey 2.’ I got a text one afternoon asking me if I wanted to play the role…and I literally jumped up screaming with excitement. Rhys and Scott have worked so hard to make the sequel remarkable and I’ve only ever watched bits of playback and even from that raw footage alone, my mind is blown. But yes, I play the nurse, who works closely with ‘Christopher Robin’ who is now a doctor, played by Scott Chambers. I’m not allowed to tell you much more. But I assure you.. crazy things happen!
STANDISH: You were on MTV's "Love At First Lie", can you tell us more?
CHRISSIE: Yes! I’ve done a lot of reality tv. I started our back in 2009, when I made my mark on ‘Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend’ on itv2. Since then, I’d done quite a lot! Casting already knew me from shows and slid into my Instagram dms to see if I wanted to audition. However, they said I’d have to find a guy/partner to do it with, as we would have to go into the show as a fake couple, pretending to be a real couple and convince everyone we were a real couple to win a giant cash prize.
It was so much fun! We filmed in Malta for a few weeks. It made so many new friends both from the US and UK, as the show premiered in the States first on MTV. It wasn’t even challenging. It was simply the best time and I got to work with Tori Spelling! That was crazy! She was so lovely. But yeah, I ended up doing quite well on the show, but the memories I’ve made are memories I’ll treasure forever.
STANDISH: You are on Channel 4's "Steph's Packed Lunch", tell us what all you do here exactly...
CHRISSIE: Well sadly the show has now been cancelled. So I’m not on the show anymore, but had a great 3 year run on the series. It was daytime tv. Kind of like the British ‘Ellen Show.’ It was filmed in Leeds, broadcast nationally and was first ever regular role on daytime tv, which I didn’t expect as I have quite a colourful past. If I could say anything about the show I’d say I made friends for life and had the most remarkable time. I mean, I’m always someone who finds it easy to move forward. You have to in entertainment. I’m used to it. Yet, those memories are certainly ones I’ll box up and label as ‘good times.’
STANDISH: Out of all of your work, what's been your favorite?
CHRISSIE: I’ll say this..any time I get offered a job and I’m lucky enough to do something that I love, that I’ve dreamed of since being a little girl, I feel grateful. I’ve worked really hard and everyone knows it’s not easy. So anytime ok working..it’s my favourite.
But if I’m picking favourites ‘Naked Attraction’ by Studio Lambert has been my most favourite tv show that I’ve ever filmed in my life. Nothing will ever beat it and my favourite film I’ve ever worked on has been the Disney horror fairytale re-tellings. I’ve loved working on both Cinderella’s Curse and Blood and Honey 2 and honoured to be part of franchise.
STANDISH: Tell us a little about your overall mission, Chrissie -
CHRISSIE: My overall mission is to firstly be remain happy, be a success and provide the most wonderful life for my two children Ruby & Junior (who are both also in ‘Blood & Honey 2.’) I want to be able to entertain, inspire and create that show girl magic for the rest of my entire life. I hope to be recognised for the graft and the hard work and I hope to share love and prove that anyone can make their actual dreams come true.. if they just try. If I could share anything it would be love, support and confidence.
STANDISH: What can we look forward to in the future from you?
CHRISSIE: This year I have the two cinema releases and begin filming ‘Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare,’ which is going to be incredible. I also have 2 new tv shows coming out and also filming a couple of new shows that I’m really excited about.
STANDISH: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
CHRISSIE: Hopefully, career wise I’ll be some iconically, huge success. That’s where I’d like to be. I’m also a hopeless romantic so I hope to also have settled down in love and being a northern family girl, hoped to have raised the happiest children alive.
STANDISH: Who are some of your mentors?
CHRISSIE: I don’t have a specific mentor, but I learn things from people every single minute of every day, simply by watching, listening and absorbing. Whether they’re an agent in the industry, an old man who I’ve accidentally bumped into at a coffee shop. You can learn a lot from the simplest moments, places and people. But I mean, if we’re gonna go bouji, I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredibly successful people. Paris Hilton one of the most successful women in the planet. I learnt so much from her and she’s incredible and I even once did a work/mentor lunch with Alfie Best Senior, the Gypsy Billionaire who taught me about money, how to make it and success and what a gent. I can’t event tell you how much that chat helped. I listened to them both…and I’d like to think I’m ‘delivering.’
STANDISH: During COVID, we all faced struggles, what was one of your main struggles?
CHRISSIE: Well, I was lucky enough to still be able to work. So I was on ‘Stephs Packed Lunch’ every week, 3 times a week and filming movies..the rest of the time I was at home with my babies, so it was actually bliss. I had the best time.
STANDISH: If you could choose one role to play, what would it be?
CHRISSIE: I’m like to be a new sexy, but vicious character in a Marvel film.
STANDISH: Where can fans find your work?
CHRISSIE: Amazon Prime, Netflix, Paramount Plus, MTV, Channel 4 and at the cinema this year.
STANDISH: What are your social links?
