"BRETT WAGNER"!

Brett Big Schwag Wagner has been in the entertainment industry for 30 years with over 100 TV and film credits he is a jack of all trades. From comedy to thrillers to iconic horror movies. Brett is well known as one of two actors to play Leatherface in the 2003 remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Brett has had roles on Sons of anarchy to Hannah Montana and was the voice and fill in host on the #1 rated show Monster Garage for 6 years and 90 episodes.

Let's get into some exclusive questions...

STANDISH: You began to play "Leatherface" in 2003's "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", but got injured & replaced after the Kemper Kill scene, can you tell us more?

BRETT: I got hired to play Leatherface which was a dream come true. About two days into filming I got heat stroke filming the Kemper Kill scene which tightened up my back which made it so painful to slam that door shut . And 3 days after they had me replaced with Andrew. Probably would have taken a full week to heal so the replacement was understandable.

STANDISH: With that being said, you gained the "Lost Leatherface" title, is this something you're proud of?

BRETT: Over the years folks did not know there was another actor who played leatherface in the movie so some of the fans started calling me the Lost Leatherface. I find it very humbling that folks acknowledge me as part of the Leatherface family..

STANDISH: How does it feel to continue the "Leatherface" legacy?

BRETT: For the longest time I didnt even talk about my part in the franchise but as the fans started to contact me I started to enjoy chatting with them about the movie and my experience. And now 20 years later I love carrying on that tradition at conventions and appearances.

STANDISH: You're known as "The Big Schwag" from your work as the announcer on Discovery's hit TV show "Monster Garage", tell us more about this & how you got your nickname...

BRETT: I got the name The Big Schwag when I was doing a stint in the pro wrestling world as a manager.. When i got offered the job as the voice of Monster Garage on Discovery Channel I decided to try and keep the big schwag name and try to brand it... Monster Garage was a very important show for me in my career...

STANDISH: Out of your 100+ iMDb credits, what's been your favorite project?

BRETT: 30 years of acting and over 100 tv and movie credits has left me blessed to have worked with some amazing actors and directors. Some of my favorite would have to be The Crazies in 2010.. JOhn Dies at the End and getting to work with Director Don Coscarelli and of course Sons Of Anarchy,,, And a movie I just shot in 2023 Desert Fiends..

STANDISH: Tell us a little about your overall mission, Brett -

BRETT: I am turning 56 on December 31st so Im hoping that I get to continue acting in to my later years. It's a transition of course as you get older but I love to work with new upcoming talent and of course with friends.. I am still a fan of acting and when I get to work with folks I admire it its amazing.

STANDISH: What can we look forward to in the future from you?

BRETT: I love working with new up and coming directors like Shawn C Phillips and C.J Vecchio and of course I would love to work Damien Leone .. 3 amazing directors that keep raising the bar in our business.. The Evil 3 and Desert Fiends are 2 movies I have coming out in 2024 and I am excited to start filming a few movies Im attached to called Skate to Hell and Midnight Maniac...

STANDISH: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

BRETT: The next 5 years as I get older and my look changes I hope to start playing different characters besides just big brutes and Killers.. I love comedy and improv and I think that will be where my acting goes.

STANDISH: Who are some of your mentors?

BRETT: I started acting because of movies Like Night Of The Living dead and Dawn Of The Dead .. Mix in Phantasm and some classics like On The WaterFront and Cool Hand Luke and you can see why I love this business. Some of the people I look up to now are actors Like Robert Patrick, David Howard Thornton, Bill Moseley and David Morris...

But I am all over the place as a actor and voice-overs for reality tv shows so yah never know where I will show up on your screen or radio.

STANDISH: Where can fans find your work?
