"Rick Styczynski" AKA "Selfie Guy" Of "Terrifier 2"!

Rick Styczynski is owner of 13X Studios Custom Hockey Masks and "Selfie Guy" from "Terrifier 2".

Let's get into this exclusive...

STANDISH: So, I just interviewed David Howard Thornton AKA "Art The Clown" and he mentioned "Terrifier 3" was a go, my question for you is, are you going to be in this next film?

RICK: I was just with Damien Leone (director of Terrifier 2) 2 weeks ago and of course it’s a question everyone is asking. As he writes Terrifier 3 and it makes sense to add me to scene. Then for sure. If it doesn’t… theres always part 4.

STANDISH: Tell us a little about your overall mission, Rick -

RICK: My mission since day 1 for 13X Studios has been always making moves. I’m in this for the long run. So why not give it your all. On the acting side. To work with Quentin Tarantino!

STANDISH: How does it feel to be apart of the horror community?

RICK: Being part of the horror community has been amazing. It’s been 7 solid years. I have built some great relationships during this time. I always have been a horror fan so definitely living the dream.

STANDISH: How did you first get involved with the "Terrifier 2" film?

RICK: I met Damien Leone 2019 Mad Monster North Carolina. I remember introducing him to Kane Hodder. Few hours later after some fireballs and talking movies. A friendship was started. I think I had a part that night.

STANDISH: How did you land the "Selfie Guy" role? How long did it take to shoot?

RICK: Damien wrote in the Selfie Guy scene for me. 5 day shoot in New Jersey. At first I was “Costume Guy” as director Kevin Smith who I make custom Silent Bob hockey masks for gave me permission to wear the Moobys Clerks 2 shirt. Then my part changed to “Drunk Guy”. We then finally choose “Selfie Guy”. Then Selfie Guy mania started….

STANDISH: What can we look forward to in the future from you?

RICK: My future is simple. More conventions and see the world. More movies. And as me and wife are located in Saint Augustine, Florida. We may do a Las Vegas move in future.

STANDISH: I see you make custom masks, tell us more...

RICK: 7 years of 13X Studios has been amazing. I wake up every day and make custom hockey masks. Its my passion and love what I do. Every day I just keep thinking outside the box.

STANDISH: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

RICK: In 5 years I really think nothing will change. I live a simple life and plan on just enjoying every minute. My Dad passed away 2 years ago and since then my outlook on life has changed. I always remain positive no matter what.

STANDISH: Who are some of your mentors?

RICK: I really feel I don’t have many mentors but since I started my business 7 years ago. The one that always sticks out is Kane Hodder. That guy is one of the greats! Music wise. Wu Tang Clan and Tenacious D. And the TV show that always inspired me since day 1 was Entourage. Changed my life.

STANDISH: During COVID, we all faced struggles, what was one of your main struggles?

RICK: Covid was horrible for so many. I was one of the lucky ones with my business that I did very well with all my retail stores I had masks in. So many supported me. I can’t even explain the love I have for everyone.

STANDISH: Where can fans find your work?

RICK: You can find me in any social medias at 13Xstudios and my Etsy site is 13xstudios.com
