EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW - Musical Artist "TJ HICKEY" Is Shaking The Industry...

Standish913.com has been blessed to do an interview with...

"TJ HICKEY"!

Here's our official interview...

What is your name?

TJ Hickey

Where are you from? Your age?

31 Boston MA

What do you do?

Singer, rapper, songwriter

Tell us a little about your company/brand -

My brand is a “a little bit of everything”.. I’ve never wanted to succumb to a “box”.. I was raised in the inner city, moved to suburbs as a late teen, went to 3 different high schools. I’ve never felt like I had one brand or identity and my music reflects that from rap to country music.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself writing and helping out up and coming artists out of Boston and New England where there’s not much of a scene. I kinda had to figure everything out on my own and I think having someone to look up to and be guided be would be a huge step

Who are some of your mentors?

I definielty learned form guys like Mac Miller, Russ, Sammy Adams..alot of these multi-genre artists who stayed somewhat independent creatively

What are you currently working on?

I’m literally always working on music, I have a ton of singles ready for 2023

In your eyes, what is your biggest accomplishment to this day?

I’d say working with guys that I’ve always looked up to like Sage The Gemini and Sammy Adams were some of my coolest moments along with touring the country a few times.

During COVID, we all faced struggles, what was one of your main struggles?

I had always recorded in studios and with COVID I had to buy my own set up and learn how to record myself.. it was a huge learning curve but ended up being very beneficial for me

Where can fans find your work?

I’m everywhere but my main push is Spotify for all my singles and Instagram for all remixes and duets etc.

Anything you'd like to include?

I’mn a former college hockey player turned artist. I never was in the music scene, I had and still have no music connections. I’m just a guy who loves to create new sounds and do it with NO musical background. I think a message I want to relay to anyone is you dont HAVE to be talented. You have to have a willingness to outwork everyone and practice really does make perfect.

What are your social links?
