What is your name?
My name is Rio Grinday but let me break it down… Real Name Omari Isaiah Riley… Rio Is my initials switched around and Grinday means "Everyday It’s Grind Day".
Where are you from? Your age?
I’m a 21 year old Harlem baby
What do you do?
I put my feelings thoughts & emotions on paper and make em rhyme.
Tell us a little about your company/brand -
The name of my company is called the GRIND$TARS, it comes from the base name and consists of my pops who does the graphic design and handles the business and miami mack who used to be an artist way back when and he does my engineering and producing. We work as a team to spread the word.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself as an established independent artist still connecting with my fans still doing more for my people in my neighborhood like a community center to keep them off the streets.
Who are some of your mentors?
Ma$e, Miami Mack, ThugCat and my Grandpoppa
What are you currently working on?
Evolving and Recognition
All I do is write , lines pop up in my head rhythm and flows and when that happen I just keep going … I never have my mind on one song I’m always starting a different song even after I write a few lines .. don’t even finish them at times.
During COVID, we all faced struggles, what was one of your main struggles?
I couldn’t touch the stu , wasn’t able to see my loved ones .. and it was hard being creative it felt as if I was locked in my room.
